To participate in the Erasmus+ Programme student have to apply for an Erasmus grant to their home institutions.
After a successful application your Erasmus coordinator will nominate you to DGBC. Please contact your coordinator at your home institution to be sure that your application has been sent to us. We are accepting nominations at the erasmus@tkbf.hu e-mail address.
The successful candidates should check our Course Catalogue and chose courses that they would like attend during their mobility programme. The courses chosen by the student should be listed and approved in an official document called Learning Agreement.

The Application form and the Learning Agreement have to be accompanied by:

• Curriculum Vitae (Europass)
• Passport-sized photo (4!)
• Transcript of Records in English (a list about the results of your earlier study)
• certificate about the English language competence (at least Level B2)
• A copy of your identity card or international passport
• A copy of your health insurance (preferably a copy of your European Health Insurance Card) – remember to bring it latest for the immatriculation!!!

What to do after your exchange has been approved?

After your home university and DGBC have approved your exchange, you can start arranging practical matters for your exchange, such as insurance, accommodation and travel arrangements. If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact us via erasmus@tkbf.hu

The Dharma Gate Buddhist College is a religious school of higher education. The designation „Dharma Gate” metaphorically refers to its main mission: to open a gateway to the Buddhist Teaching, or Dharma. This symbolic gesture manifests in the realisation and transmission of the Teaching.

Established in 1991, the DGBC promoting high quality education and competitiveness, striving to meet international standards and aiming to prepare professionals able to assert themselves following their graduation, either at home or in any country of the European community.

Following the third round accreditation of the College in 2014, we are glad to take part in European mobility programs that give us the opportunity to develop efficient partnerships with international higher education and research institutions, partake in student and teacher exchange programs and create the conditions to join the European Higher Education Area.

Erasmus+ will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad.

Erasmus+ will support transnational partnerships among Education, Training, and Youth institutions and organisations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of Education and work in order to tackle the skills gaps we are facing in Europe.

It will also support national efforts to modernise Education, Training, and Youth systems. In the field of Sport, there will be support for grassroots projects and cross-border challenges such as combating match-fixing, doping, violence and racism.

As an integrated programme, Erasmus+ offers more opportunities for cooperation across the Education, Training, Youth, and Sport sectors and is easier to access than its predecessors, with simplified funding rules.
